Wheat futures opened higher at the Chicago Board of Trade on Wednesday on news that Egypt bought 60,000 tonnes of US wheat as part of its overall purchase of 178,000 tonnes, traders said. At 1532 GMT, the CBOT March wheat contract was up 9-1/4 cents at $5.59-1/4 a bushel. CBOT March soyabeans were up 7 cents at $9.99 a bushel and March corn was up 2 cents at $3.85-1/2 a bushel.
