The University of Karachi is organising a national conference on literature and achievements of the great Samma rulers on Saturday, January 24, 2009. The moot is being organised by the Department of Sindh in collaboration with Culture and Tourism Department, Government of Sindh. The event is second in a series of conferences planned to highlight various periods of rule of the Indus civilisation.
Briefing about the conference, Professor Dr Khursheed Abbasi, Chairperson of the Department of Sindhi said, "In this event, Samma's origin, social, traditional, religious, cultural and political aspects will be reviewed in detail by a number of learned scholars, intellectuals and academicians."-PR
