Annual Research Programme Planning meeting for Kharif-2009 has been scheduled on January 26-28, 2009 at Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad. Dr Muhammad Rashid, Director General Agriculture (Research), stated this. In this meeting, agricultural scientists, university professors and policy makers from all over the country will participate.
Inaugural session of meeting will be presided over by Malik Ahmal Ali Aulakh, Minister for Agriculture, Punjab while concluding session will by chaired by Mr Muhammad Jawed Iqbal Awan, Secretary Agriculture, Punjab on 28.1.2009 at 2.00 pm.
In this meeting, research programme for Kharif crops 2009 will be finalised. Dr Muhammad Rashid further told that farmers, representatives of agricultural industries and other stakeholders have also been invited so that annual research programmes may be planned in view of their needs and field problems.
