The residents of sector G-7/4 were facing acute water shortage for the last 15 days due to the negligence of the authorities concerned of the Capital Development Authority (CDA). Talking to PPI on Friday, the residents complained that they were being compelled to take water from other sectors due to non-availability of water for daily use.
Further, they complained that they were facing a lot of problems in kitchens as well as for ablution to offer prayer due to acute water shortage. The main mosque, Masjid-e-Saad bin Abi Waqas of the area was also seriously lacking water availability as the people coming to offer prayers, were also facing problems to make ablutions.
The inhabitants further said that they have registered many complaints with the authorities concerned regarding the problems but all in vain. They demanded of the high ups of the CDA to take special measures to ensure supply of water to the locality.
