Scores of farmers on Friday complained that urea fertiliser is being provided only to influential landholders, while the common farmer is not getting his due share. Muhammad Ismail, Shah Muhammad, Naseeruddin, Ahmed Bakhsh, Raj Din, Allah Wasaya, Tajdar, Amir Bakhsh, Nazir Ahmed, Muhammad Usman and others talking to newsmen alleged that MNAs, MPAs and their relatives are being provided the urea, while peasant farmers are unable to obtain the fertiliser for their wheat crop.
They called upon the Chief Minister Punjab to take notice of this sorry state of affairs and facilitate the small farmers, the real tillers of the land and backbone of the agriculture sector.
