Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of felicitation to the Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. The Prime Minister in his greeting message said; "It gives me great pleasure to extend, on behalf of the Government, the people of Pakistan and on my own behalf, our sincere greetings on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of Australia.
The fraternal relations existing between Pakistan and Australia are based on mutual respect and understanding on international and regional issues. It is my hope and endeavour that these relations would be further strengthened in the years to come". He also prayed for the happiness, progress and prosperity of the people of Australia.
