Sindh University Syndicate has approved the appointment of the heads as well faculty for various teaching institutes and departments in its 169th meeting on Saturday. The syndicate meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor of the University Mazharul Haq Siddiqui.
The meeting approved the appointment of Dr Abida Tahrani as Director of Sindh Development Study Center (SDSC) and Dr Yasmin Iqbal for the Centre of Health and Physical Education as its Director for the fresh tenure.
The meeting also approved the appointment of Dr Sultan Mahmood Leghari as Chairman of the department of Freshwater Biology and Fisheries.
The meeting after retirement of Dr Parveen Usmani approved the appointment of Dr Sarfraz Ahmed Solangi as new Director of the Centre of Pure and Applied Geology for new tenure starting from the next month. The meeting in light of recommendations of 29th and 30th meetings of the selection Board, approved appointment of Dr Azra Knadhar, Dr M Ayob Shaikh, Dr Noor M Jamali and Dr Raja M.Ilyas as Professors in BPS-21 in their concerned departments.
Dr Hafiz Munir Ahmed Khan, Syed Niamatullah Shah and Sajad Haider appointed as Associate professors in BPS-20. The meeting also approved the appointed of Lecturers in BPPS-18, in various disciplines The meeting approved naming of Seminar Library of department of Philosophy of its faculty as Asim Ali Akhund seminar library.
