Investigation Police Mughalpura Sunday arrested three criminals of a gang involved in a number of cases of street crime. The accused have confessed crime during preliminary interrogation.
According to the details, on the directions of Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervaz Rathore, SP Investigation Civil Lines Dr Haydar Ashraf constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP Investigation Shalimar Circle Malik Awais comprising other officials. The team collected the particulars of the Yasir gang and arrested its three persons on a tip-off. The criminals of this gang used to snatch cell phones and valuables from passers-by at gunpoint. Police have recovered three cell phones, a pistol and bullets from their possession. The arrested were identified as ringleader Yasir alias Jachhian, Fayyaz alias Waja and Abdul Razaq alias Mithu. CCPO, Muhammad Pervaz Rathore has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police team.
