pakistan-fashion-weekISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Talented Youth Organization (PTYO) organised a fashion show here Monday at Lok Virsa featuring top designers and models of the twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi to showcase their upcoming line of clothing belonging to the Pakistani fashion industry.

According to the details, young glamorous emerging models of the twin cities showed off their thrift as they walk the catwalk down the runway, pop music playing in the background exhibiting the latest collection of young Pakistani designers

The event was attended by families, youngsters and many well known fashion personalities of the twin cities.

Young designers Sammer Jabbar, M. Ahmed, Fashion Flare and young students of NCA showcased modern wear flowy Eastern and Western party wear dresses.

Collection showcased an exuberantly colourful palette with purples, pinks and greens explore different colour combinations, bold styles and interesting new cuts during winters along with the unique taste for a combining embroidery with colorful prints, while creating something that you can not only be used for dinner parties and get togethers, but if accessorised well, can be worn at events and weddings.

Arooj Khan, a student and a model, commented with excitement, "I couldn’t be more excited about how great this fashion show has been. I was really nervous before the fashion show, but seniors helped a lot. Two months of hard work has really paid off."

On the fashion industry, she commented, "I am excited as an upcoming designer to know that there is such a platform available to us now. I hope we will gain more government promotion and flourish even further."

While talking to PPI on Monday, Raja Pervaiz CEO (PTYO) said that the flourishing fashion industry will grow with the involvement of more youngsters and more fashion shows.

"Pakistani designers are known in the international markets now and many international shows feel proud to invite Pakistani designers, this will project the soft image of the country as a talented young generation," he said.

However, he added that it was a risky task to hold a show because of security problem and lack of interest by the people.

"Enthusiasm and interest of the young generation can bring a revolution to the dying film industry and gain the attention of foreign and local investors with new ideas" he added.

"PTYO aims to introduce fresh faces in fashion and film industries to promote art and entertainment in Pakistan. The fashion industry can play a big role in current economic situation and spread our culture and traditions to other civilizations across the border," Raja said.
