US copper futures rose more than 4 percent Wednesday morning as a weak dollar and firmer equities enabled prices to stabilise from recent volatility. Copper for March delivery firmed 4.80 cents, or 3.2 percent, to $1.5325 a lb by 10:18 am EST (1518 GMT) on the New York Mercantile Exchange's COMEX division. Morning range from $1.4720 to $1.5530. COMEX estimated volume at 6,683 lots by 9 am.
