Militants in the turbulent district Swat had reportedly allowed girls' education up to class 4 and hinted at further review on the ban on the education of girls in the district. Talking to a foreign broadcasting corporation on phone, the chief of Swat based militant group, Maulana Fazalullah that they are framing such a strategy, which will prove a good message for the world.
To a question regarding destroying of schools, he said that security forces have also destroyed some teaching institutions. The security forces, he said were using these schools as trenches. However, he added that the education system based on Lord Michale is not acceptable to them.
The militants in Swat have had banned girls' education and about 200 schools in the districts had been destroyed while boys schools remained closed due to the ongoing operation affecting more than 35000 students in the valley.
