The Karachi Port handled 97,996 tonnes of cargo including 57,433 tonnes of import and 40,563 tonnes of export, 2,795 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The freights comprised of 53,426 tonnes of dry cargo including 43,389 tonnes of general cargo; 408 tonnes of seeds, 9,629 tonnes of cement and 44,570 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Eleven ships namely Visea, Hua Seng, Hyundai Qingdao, Hyundai Emperor, Bulk Arrow, Gan Baek San, Quetta, H & H Tide, Wan Hai-510, Bunga Teratai 3 and Abtin-1 sailed out to sea during the reported period. Two vessels viz Abtin-1 and Adriatic Arrow are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Noor-e-Madina, Markovo, Ostria and Adriatic Arrow expected to sail on Friday while another vessel viz Lalazar is expected to sail on Saturday.
Six vessel viz Chemstar Brave, Hansa Sonderburg, Ainaftis, Apl Balboa, Industrial Dream and Faial due to arrive on Friday while seven ships namely Bow Prima, Thurringia Express, YM Inventive, Martha Russ, Alpha, Iron Butterfly and Darya Yog are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 78,704 tonnes including 67,132 tonnes of import 11,572 tonnes of export cargo and 1,656 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Friday. The cargoes comprised of 36,016 tonnes of furnace oil; 6,700 tonnes of palm oil; 971 tonnes of project cargo 6,250 tonnes of iron ore; 568 tonnes of cement and 22,089 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV CMA CGM Puget, CV Jill Far, MV Britannia and MT SC Guang Zhou sailed out to sea on Friday morning while another vessel viz MV Wiebke is expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total of eleven ships namely MSC Hanne, Maersk Novazzano, Sulawesi Palm, Chemicals Progress, Yin Gul, Al-Salam-II, Gas Sulawesi, Abyot, Al-Barella, Berd Yansk and Sun Pine carrying containers, palm oil, diesel oil, LPG, Cement and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine vessels viz CV CMA CGM Puget, CV Jill Far, MV Nobil, MV Wiebke, MV Tai Prosperity, MT SC Guang Zhou, MT Sea Sky and MV Britannia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo, wheat, palm oil, furnace oil and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Four ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano, MV Abyot, MT Sulawesi Palm and MT Sun Pine scheduled to load/offload containers cement, palm oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Terminal on Friday. Three ships namely MT Al-Soor-II, MT Eastern Tera and MV Coral with diesel oil, chemicals and cement are also due to arrive on Friday.
