On behalf of the conferences team at SHAMROCK it is my pleasure and a privilege to welcome the distinguished chairpersons, speakers and delegates to the forum. It is appreciated that you were able to spare time to attend this important meeting of likeminded people.
I would also like to express my sincere thanks to the Advisor to the Prime Minister, the Secretary Petroleum & Natural Resources, our partners OGDCL, PLATTS, BGP and BOSICOR, to have co-operated with us in organising the conference. The new petroleum policy announced recently by the government of Pakistan is seeking enhancement in collaborated work and further investments to spur growth and development.
The government is keen on working as a partner with existing companies and, at the same time, inviting companies interested in tapping the enormous potential for untapped hydrocarbon resources in onshore and off-shore areas in Pakistan. I am sure the participants to the Oil & Gas Pakistan Forum 2009 will learn and take away important information during the deliberations at the forum. I wish all success to you.
