Advisor to Chief Minister, Sharmeela Farooqui, Saturday met Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza and presented him a detail report containing recommendations and proposals for maintaining law and order in New Sabzi Mandi. She prepared her report in the light of her visit to Sabzi Mandi in the wake of strike and protest by Mandi traders and the meeting held with the members of New Sabzi Mandi Joint Action Committee.
In her report the Advisor suggested the establishment of Ranger's picket for maintaining law and order in Sabzi Mandi, restoration of Market Committee and Upgra-dation of Police Post into police station. Reviewing the report, the Home Minister expressed satisfaction over steps taken for resumption of trading and maintenance of law and order at Sabzi Mandi. He said that on her report a Ranger's picket is being set up there and steps being taken to provide police forces equipped with weapons at Police Post.
