Businessman Panel (BP) NWFP President Fazal Elahi Khan has congratulated the central leaders of the Businessman Panel Tariq Sayeed and S M Munir on clean sweep in the elections of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and inflicting crushing defeat to Businessman Forum (BF).
In a statement former vice president of FPCCI Fazal said on Saturday that the reposing of confidence by all chambers and associations in the leadership of Businessman Panel had proved it the true representative organisation of the traders and industrialists of the country. He attributed the defeat of Businessman Forum to the lack of exhibiting interest to protect the rights of the business community.
Extending congratulation to the newly elected president of FPCCI, Sultan Chawla and all vice presidents, Fazal expressed hope that the new cabinet will give priority to the mitigation of the problems of business community, development of industries and revival of the industrial units of the frontier province. The outgoing vice president of FPCCI said that out of five chambers NWFP expressed confidence for the office of the vice president to Mohammad Akbar Khan, which will be announced soon.
