Chief Election Commissioner will soon announce schedule for holding election on 50 vacant seats of the senate. Secretary Election Commission Kanwar Dilshad while talking to a TV channel, said that under the constitutional provision election to vacant senate seats should be held between February 11 to March 11.
He said all preparations have been finalised for holding election in the first week of March. He said each provincial assembly will elect 11 senators (total 44 seats), National Assembly will elect four Senators from Islamabad and two Fata seats.
