The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon is visiting Pakistan on Wednesday (today). The Secretary General will meet the President and the Prime Minister. Pakistan attaches great importance to the United Nations and highly values the visit by Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.
The Secretary General's visit provides a good opportunity to exchange views on global and regional issues. The government will also inform him about the Pakistan and India relations in the wake of November 2008 Mumbai attacks. Officials said that UN chief visit provides another opportunity to the government to pursue its case regarding the UN probe into the Benazir Bhutto assassination.
