The Karachi Port handled 86,885 tonnes of cargo including 62,989 tonnes of import and 23,896 tonnes of export, 2,333 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The freights comprised of 48,006 tonnes of dry cargo including 33,342 tonnes of general cargo; 3,514 tonnes of sulpher, 11,150 tonnes of cement and 38,879 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Mare Thracium, Muroto, Alam Bitara, Apl Brisbane and Sinar Bintan sailed out to sea during the reported period. Seven vessels viz Sinar Bintan, Faial, Apl Brisbane, Hyun Jin Ks 3, Apl Sokhna, Shangor and Isara Bhum are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Caribbean Carrier and Sari expected to sail on Tuesday while another three vessels viz Apl Sokhna, Darya Yog and Cape Negro are expected to sail on Wednesday. One vessel viz X-Press Khyber due to arrive on Tuesday while nine ships namely Oriental Rose, New York Star, Star Dream, Hyundai Duke, Apl Chicago, Dandelion, Wan Hai-501, Alios and Santiago are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 75,786 tonnes including 62,109 tonnes of import 13,677 tonnes of export cargo and 1,810 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday. The cargoes comprised of 3,856 tonnes of wheat; 40,072 tonnes of furnace oil; 3,970 tonnes of palm oil; 531 tonnes of LPG; 2,901 tonnes of cement and 24,456 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely MT Gas Sulwesi, MV Abyot, MV Maersk Carolina and MT Chemicals Progress sail out to sea during last 24 hours while two more ships MV Tai Prosperity and MT Stella are expected to sail on Tuesday. A total of ten ships namely Maersk Delmont, Al-Soor-II, Sea Lion, Yin Gul, Beach Galaxy, Al-Barella, Coral, Leopard-B, Berd Yansk and Eastern Tera carrying containers, diesel oil, furnace oil, palm oil, cement and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz MV Maersk Carolina, MV Nobil, MV Tai Prosperity, MT Chemicals Progress, MT Stella and MT Gas Sulwesi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, furnace oil and LPG respectively during the report period.
Five ships namely CV Maersk Delmont, MV Al-Barella, MV Irene E.M, MT Yin Gui and MT Al-Soor-II scheduled to load/offload containers cement, wheat, palm oil and diesel oil expected to take berth at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Fotco Terminal on Tuesday. Two ships namely MV Holy Light and MV Orient-II due to arrive on Tuesday while another vessel viz MT Sigas Maud is due to arrive on Wednesday.
