The Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Dr Farooq Sattar has urged Nadra to register maximum Overseas Pakistanis to collect accurate data of Pakistanis living abroad. The Minister was talking to Chairman Nadra, Muhammad Arshad Hakeem who called on him on Wednesday.
Nadra Chairman briefed the Minister about the registration services being provided to the Overseas Pakistanis and informed that two sort of identity cards are being provided to them, which are National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) for those who holds dual nationality and Pakistan Origin card (POC).
The Chairman informed the Minister that Nadra is introducing soon a smart card with chip comprising biometric information of the cardholders to avoid any chance of forgery. The card will also facilitate for fast track immigration of the Overseas Pakistanis, he added.-PR
