Gul Ahmed Textile Mills has announced on Thursday to upgrade its IP Telephony (IPT) voice and security infrastructure as well as its Unified Communications system to raise service standards, improve employee collaboration and enhance operational efficiencies, says a press release.
The initially set-up with 600 IP Phones, Gul Ahmed, IPT network to accommodate a demand of 1900 IP Phones on its network. The network is imperative to the functioning of Gul Ahmed seamlessly connecting toll-free extension dialling between employees across all units, including a single operator to guide all incoming and outgoing call traffic, to and from all units.
The organisation has a combination of fiber and wireless to connect all units together with a call manager cluster used to distribute the load of the PT traffic. The network also uses multiple Cisco Firewalls for secure connectivity to the outside world.-PR
