Department Head of Psychiatry at Fatima Jinnah Medical College Professor Dr Haroon Rashid Chaudhry has been named as member of the World Psychiatric Association's (WPA) Operational Committee on Scientific Meetings. Professor Dr Haroon is serving as Vice-President Eastern Mediterr-anean region for World Federation for Mental Health and Secretary General Saarc Psychiatric Federation.
Earlier, he served as Zonal representatives of WPA Zone-15 for six years from 2002 to 2008. As member of the WPA's Operational Committee on Scientific Meetings, Professor Dr Haroon will stimulate and oversee the development and implementation of the association's scientific meetings policy.
