MOSCOW: Real wages in Russia rose 2.9 percent year on year in June, the state statistics service said on Wednesday.
Analysts polled by Reuters had expected that real wages, which are adjusted for inflation, would rise 3.4 percent last month.
The statistics service revised May real wages growth to 2.8 percent from 3.7 percent, its data showed.
Average nominal wages earned by Russians rose 7.4 percent year on year to 41,640 roubles ($704.5) in June.
