Jaffarabad police on Sunday recovered and seized 40 kilograms of hashish from a truck and arrested its driver, in Dera Allah Yar town of Jaffarabad district, an official of Jaffarabad police said. He said that a special police team deployed on inter-provincial highway searched a suspicious truck in which 40 kilograms of hashish were concealed in it.
Police recovered the hashish and arrested driver of the truck Muhammad Aslam who wanted to smuggle the hashish in interior Sindh. A case had been registered against the drug pusher driver under Control of Narcotics Substances Act-1997 and investigation was in progress, the police official added.
