The Karachi Port handled 55,444 tonnes of cargo including 29,402 tonnes of import and 26,042 tonnes of export, 2,334 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The freights comprised of 43,144 tonnes of dry cargo including 34,806 tonnes of general cargo; 2,738 tonnes of scrap; 5,600 tonnes of cement and 12,300 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Eight ships namely Hanjin Qingdao, Al-Marwah, Sunrise Hamanasu, Pacific Arrow, Shahnoor, Apl Jeddah, Mol Admiration and Jiao Cheng sailed out to sea during the reported period. Five vessels viz Mol Admiration, Apl Jeddah, Alexi-I, Elent-T and Sun Pine are currently at the berths. Two ships namely CS Cihan and Elent-T expected to sail on Tuesday while another three vessels viz Deja Bhum, Apl Yokohama and Alpha are expected to sail on Wednesday. One vessel viz Mol Affinity due to arrive on Tuesday while six ships namely Dolphina, Semeru, Gulf Tiger, Royal Flos, Apl Sokhna and TS Xingang are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 93,344 tonnes including 75,228 tonnes of import 18,116 tonnes of export cargo and 3,004 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday. The cargoes comprised of 6,826 tonnes of wheat; 25,452 tonnes of furnace oil; 3,112 tonnes of palm oil; 2,275 tonnes of vegetable oil; 13,188 tonnes of coal; 1,568 tonnes of cement and 40,923 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three ships, container ship CV CSAV Laja, oil tanker MT Sea Sky and edible oil vessel MT Agent Bloom sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another container vessel viz CV Maersk Georgia is expected to sail on Tuesday. A total of six ships namely Maersk Dullex, Coral, Leopard-B, Berd Yansk, Thor Sofia and Hyundai Rhino carrying containers, cement and project cargo respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine vessels viz CV Maersk Georgia, CV CSAV Laja, MV Nobil, MV Irene E.M, MV Holy Light, MT Agent Bloom, MT Sc Liaoning, MT Sea Sky and MV Maimea are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, vegetable oil, palm oil, furnace oil and coal respectively during the report period.
Three ships namely CV Maersk Dullex, CV Hong Kong Senator and MT Suzanne carrying containers and chemicals are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Terminal on Tuesday. Three ships namely MV Orient-II, MT King Duncan and MT Pramoni are due to arrive on Tuesday.
