'Load shedding duration reduces'

Chief Executive Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) Raja Abdul Ghafoor said that load shedding quota allocated to company has reduced from 550MW to 100 MW. It was stated in a meeting held on Wednesday at IESCO Head Office here with the members of business community delegation, Chamber of Commerce and Industry from twin cities and Jhelum.
He said that load shedding duration has been reduced in the company region and power situation is better here as compared to other power distribution companies. CEO said, in urban areas only two hours load shedding has been scheduled while in rural areas the duration is three to four hours. He added the system is improved in the region due to sincere efforts of company's employees and wise management. He also directed the officers of company on the proposal of participant to facilitate domestic customers by changing the timing of load shedding if possible.-PR
