Sliding trend was seen on the grain market on Saturday as most of the buyers were not interested in the new purchasing due to unusual rise in the rates during the last sessions, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old and new (Bardana) were sharply lower by Rs 50 to Rs 2600-2615.
Sugar lost Rs 50 to Rs 3900, Gur better type was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 3900, while the inferior quality did not move any side at Rs 3300, they said. Other commodities retained the overnight levels amid slow trading, they added. On the seed side rapeseed Nawabshah low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 1650 while better type was higher by Rs 60 to Rs 1700, Dadulane low type rose by rs 25 to Rs 1325 while best type maintained the overnight level, they said.
Mirpurlane inferior type was up by Rs 75 to Rs 1575 and good type did not show any change at Rs 1600. Cakes inferior type was down by Rs 10 to Rs 750 and best type fell by Rs 5 to Rs 760, cottonseed oilcake with bag Punjab new best quality lost Rs 25 to Rs 800 and low type showed firmness in the modest trading, they added. A solo deal was seen on the rice sector as Irri-6 Sindh was lower by Rs 150 to Rs 2900, they said.
