The Thailand index is likely to move narrowly as investors await new factors to stimulate the market amid persisting concerns over the global economy, an analyst said Friday.
"The index is likely to move narrowly next week... either up or down. Investors will continue to take a wait-and-see stance," said Pichai Lertsupongkit, senior vice president at Thanachart Securities.
"Investors are waiting for new factors to stir the market. But they expect further bad news from the export and production sectors," he added. The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) rose 1.38 points or 0.31 percent over the week to close at 445.77.
