Several Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders on Tuesday appreciated the political acumen of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on reaching Swat peace accord. The leaders who made this observation include Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Mian Muhammad Azeem Daultana, MNA Mahmood Khan alias Tochi Khan, Rao Sajid Mahmood and Naseer Ahmed.
They said the agreement would prove to be a milestone in government's sincere efforts to establish peace and tranquillity in Swat, Malakand and Kohistan. They observed that Fata and Swat could not afford any more bloodshed and establishing peace there was long overdue. It would go a long way in restoring peace to that troubled area, they expressed.
