Panama case hearing: Volume 10 to be publicized
ISLAMABAD: The Panama case special implementation bench held its fifth consecutive hearing on Friday primarily deliberating over the volume 10 of the JIT report that was kept confidential at the time of submission.
The three-member bench, headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Ahsan continued the proceedings followed by Thursday’s hearing in which the bench heard arguments from the counsel of the prime minister’s children, Salman Akram Raja.
In today’s hearing, in order to keep everything transparent the bench directed the disclosure of volume 10 of the JIT report.
The bench asked the prime minister's counsel, Khawaja Harris, to examine specific sections of the volume.
At the time of final report submission, the JIT had asked the Supreme Court not to make the volume public as it contained material related to ongoing international cooperation in the investigation against the Sharif family.
Later, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar's began presenting his case before the bench. Dr Tariq Hassan also argued before the court earlier in the week.
