Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi has been elected unopposed as chairman All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (APCEA) in the elections for calendar year 2009. The elections were held under the supervision of Election Commissioner, APCEA Asghar Khan and Mohammad Nasir and Tariq Nazir as members.
As no one filed nominations for the chairmanship and other offices, therefore, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi was elected unopposed as chairman of the association while Abdul Aziz Khan, Mohammad Ahmad and Abdul Jabbar were elected vice chairmen for Sarhad, Punjab/Federal and Sindh/ Balochistan zones respectively. The newly elected chairman APCEA is a former executive member of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) and its standing committee on Railway and Dryport.
He is also member advisory committee Pakistan Railways, member Board of Directors, Gem & Gemological Institute Pakistan (GGIP) and chairman Frontier Customs Agents Group and a known columnist. The outgoing chairman APCEA, Election Commissioner, APCEA, Asghar Khan and members of panel Mohammad Nasir and Tariq Nazir have felicitated Sarhadi on his election as chairman and expressed the hope that he will continue his struggle for the promotion of association and welfare of its members.
