Ambassador designate to Portugal, Gul Haneef paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani this morning before his departure to assume his new assignment. Prime Minister asked the Ambassador to actively pursue Pakistan's trade, economic and investment interests in his country of accreditation.
The Prime Minister emphasised that Pakistan's diplomatic missions abroad should be seen active motion in addressing the problems and ensuring welfare of Pakistani community in their respective countries. Gul Haneef thanked the Prime Minister on the confidence reposed on him and ensured that all out efforts will be made during his stay to meet the tasks. -PR
