Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has taken strong exception of burning of party banners bearing pictures of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari by the Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Sharqpur. The party secretary general in Punjab Sami Ullah Khan said in a press conference at Press Club that the party workers were highly infuriated over the incident and the Punjab government should suspend the TMO Sharqpur immediately.
He said the said TMO had burnt the banners on the directions from Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) member National Assembly Rana Tanvir Hussain from the area.
