Punjab government held successful negotiations with Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited to reduce price of tractors being booked under Green Tractor Subsidy Scheme, launched by Government of Punjab. After formal agreement with Punjab Government, Al-Ghazi Tractors Ltd has agreed to provide discount of Rs 6,000 per tractor alongwith one year comprehensive insurance for all tractors booked under Green Tractor Scheme.
The agreement was signed Thursday at the Agriculture Department of Punjab. Muhammad Javaid Iqbal Awan, Secretary Agriculture on behalf of Punjab Government and Nadeem Ahmad, General Manager (Marketing), Al-Ghazi Tractors Ltd signed the agreement.
According to details Al-Ghazi Tractors Ltd has got booking of 6,069 tractors under Green Tractor Scheme, out of which 1,615 have been delivered to farmers. After this agreement, Al-Ghazi Tractors Ltd will give discount of Rs 6,000 per tractor to these 6069 farmers and this amount will be transferred directly to all the beneficiary farmers by Agriculture Department Punjab, as per agreement.
