Another victim of Dera Ghazi Khan, Gul Muhammad alias Lali (28) succumbed to his injuries in Nishtar Hospital Multan last night. He received serious injuries in a suicidal attack on a procession on February 5.
The Medical Superintendent, Nishtar Hospital, Multan said that now death toll has reached 36. The DPO DG Khan, Omar Hayat Laleka said, 'Another injured had died in the hospital, 13 of the victims are still alive, while Munir Hussain (30), son of Karim Bakhsh, who received fatal wounds in Dera Ismail Khan's bomb blast on February 20, died in Nishtar hospital.'
The Principal, Nishtar Hospital, Professor Dr Laiq Hussain Siddiqui said, 'Heavy Police contingent was deployed at Ward No 4, 6,21 and ICU, where the 21 injured persons were kept and we have submitted a report to Punjab Government about the arrival of 21 patients from the NWFP's city of DI Khan.' The Medical Superintendent, Dera Civil Hospital, Dr Ashiq Saleem told over phone, 'We have shifted 22 patients to Multan. One of them died, while other 20 were shifted to Islamabad out of total 157 injured persons.
