Jamaat-i-Islami Ameer Qazi Hussian Ahmed has said that they want to resolve the Kashmir and other outstanding issues through a dialogue on equal footing. He expressed these views while talking to a 22-member Indian delegation, led by Indian journalist Kuldip Nayar, here on Monday. He said Kashmir is a core issue between the two countries.
"In the United Nation, India had accepted Kashmir as a dispute and was ready to give the right of determination to the Kashmiri people. But now it has declared Kashmir as its integral part, which has led to many problems between the two countries," he added. Qazi said Pakistan wants peace and Islam is a religion of peace, and justice was essential for peace to prevail.
