The Karachi Port handled 118,478 tonnes of cargo including 82,333 tonnes of import and 36,145 tonnes of export, 5,285 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The freights comprised of 84,106 tonnes of dry cargo including 73,605 tonnes of general cargo; 662 tonnes of sulphur; 9,839 tonnes of cement and 34,372 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Ginga Cheetah, Sinar Bintan, Luminous Ace, Oel Mumbai, Al-Marwah, Asian Queen and Apl Chicago sailed out to sea during the reported period. Eight vessels viz Sima Sahba, Apl Chicago, Quetta, Marida Mulberry, SG Falcon, Deja Bhum, Cassandra B and Lucky Carrier are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Sima Sahba, SG Falcon, Cassandra B and Quetta expected to ail on Wednesday while another two vessels viz Marida Mulberry and OBS Swathy are expected to sail on Thursday. Six vessels viz Hyundai Qingdao, Hyundai Baron, Bunga Teratai 4, Al-Mirqab, Kota Handal and Adriatic Arrow due to arrive on Wednesday while six ships namely Hellen, MT Johar, YM Inauguration, Blida, Team Al-Emirates and Calmy Coral are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 63,365 tonnes including 28,810 tonnes of import 34,555 tonnes of export cargo and 3,239 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Wednesday. The cargoes comprised of 2,132 tonnes of rice; 7,922 tonnes of palm oil; 6,023 tonnes of chemicals; 5,447 tonnes of cement and 41,841 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Five ships namely MT Gas Chios, MV Nikos-O, MV Beluga Revolution, MT Chem Bulk Singapore and CV MSC Bulgaria sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while four vessels viz CV Nedlloyd Africa, MV Makran, MT Harsanadi and MT Royal Jasper are expected to sail on Wednesday. A total of five ships namely Glovnni Della Gatta, Vidden, Produce, Sichem Melbourne and ACX Pearl carrying sun flower seeds, palm oil, chemicals and containers respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Nedlloyd Africa, CV MSC Bulgaria, MV Makran, MV Bolan, MV She Belle, MT Harsanadi and MT Royal Jasper are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, palm oil and chemicals respectively during the report period.
Four ships namely CV ACX Pearl, CV Apl Al-Mandine, MV Glovnni Della Gatta and MT Gaschem Dollart carrying containers, seeds and LPG are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Marginal Wharf and EVTL on Wednesday. Five vessels viz MT Eastern Tera, MV Tanzanite, MT Nostos, MV Hyundai Jumbo and MV Young Huan with seeds, LPG and chemicals are due to arrive on Wednesday.
