DCO Saeed Wahlah has said that "Sasti Roti Programme" shall continue under the instructions of governor Punjab, so the concerned officers should actively perform their duties for the relief of public. He informed this in a meeting, presided by him at his committee room, here on Friday, which was attended by EDOs and DOs of different departments.
The DCO directed the EDO community development that standing mechanism regarding Sasti Roti Programme in the district should be put in place to check the pilferage, adherence to price, proper procurements, transportation and consumption of the relief package.
He also directed that utmost efforts should be made to ensure that no miscreants may find opportunity to misappropriate the relief package at any stage of the Sasti Roti Scheme's cycle.
The DCO informed that the Punjab government had imposed ban on the recruitment of all kinds. He directed that government instructions and priorities should be followed as they were public servants and reflection of any grouping should not be seen in their office working and official matters should be disposed of on merits for providing relief to the people.
