Three-times Wimbledon champion Boris Becker will marry Dutch girlfriend Lilly Kerssenberg on June 12, the ex-tennis star announced here on national television at the weekend. It will be the second marriage for the 41-year-old Becker and will take place in the Swiss Alpine resort of St Moritz this summer.
Becker dated Kerssenberg, 32, for three years before the couple separated in November 2007 and the pair only recently got back together. "She has accepted me again and trusts me," said Becker who retired from tennis in June 1999 having won six Grand Slam titles.
The news has taken Germany by surprise as Becker only split from model Sandy Meyer-Woelden, 25, three months ago when she ended their brief engagement by text message saying their relationship was over.
Becker was divorced from Barbara Feltus in 2001, but on Saturday night he told German ZDF TV show "Wetten Dass" that he would marry Kerssenberg in June. The 1992 Olympic gold medallist has three children, two with Feltus and one with Angela Ermakova after a brief liaison in a hotel closet.
