Atlas Honda profit falls to Rs 65.371 million

The profit after tax of Atlas Honda Limited has declined to Rs 65.371 million in the half year period ended December 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 215.736 million earned in the corresponding period in 2007. The board of directors declared that the company's earning per share has decreased to Rs 1.38 in the period under review against Rs 4.56 in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results, the company's sales declined to Rs 4.720 billion in the half year period in 2008 against Rs 4.924 billion in the same period in 2007. The cost of sales increased to Rs 4.364 million against Rs 4.503 million. The company's profit before tax declined to Rs 100.682 million in this period against Rs 282.001 million in the same period a year back.
