The 8th international Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer & Research Centre (SKMC&RC) Symposium ended successfully here on Monday. Almost 600 delegates from USA, UK, Australia, Japan, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Sri Lanka and leading hospitals in Pakistan participated in this four-day event.
In this seminar world-renowned experts shared their professional experiences regarding new developments in Cancer diagnosis and treatment. The sessions were highly interactive and the delegates appreciated the quality of information and sharing of ideas. Workshops were organised for Pediatric Oncology, Nursing Oncology.
The last day of the symposium was dedicated to Research Ethics workshop. This workshop was held in collaboration with Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) where local and International speakers gave talks on various aspects of research ethics.
The delegates appreciated SKMCH & RC for providing them on opportunity to participate and also appreciated the efforts of the hospital for organising such useful symposium.
Dr Faisal Sultan, Chief Executive Officer in his concluding remarks said that Shaukat Khanum Hospital proud to host and facilitate the event in order to bring together oncologists and physician form all over the world to interact with one another as well as with experts in the field of oncology.
