Sindh government on Thursday announced to award Rs 0.3 million to the bus driver who, keeping his senses intact, had bravely driven away the under attack Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore. Moreover, Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza on behalf of his department has announced a Rs 2 lac compensation for the heirs of policemen who had fallen victim to Tuesdays deadly attack at Liberty Chuawk.
According to a handout Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has announced the award and an Appreciation Certificate for Mehr Khalil Ahmed in recognition of his courageous role during an ambush by a dozen unidentified gunmen.
