DCO Karachi Javed Hanif has directed all City District Government Karachi (CDGK) EDOs and departmental heads to fix timings for public meetings to solve their problems and display the same at the doors of their offices and also ensure their presence.
Addressing a meeting on Thursday, the DCO directed that pace of work on development schemes be accelerated and all the CDGK departments solve the citizens problems on priority basis. He further said all the departments should improve their performance and work with better vision, mutual consultation and liaison.
It was decided that all the departments would review their performance on monthly basis, identify the bottlenecks and take steps for their removal. He pointed out that there is no dearth of talented and hard working personnel but they need guidance to properly employ their abilities.
It was decided that all the departments would send their performance report to him on monthly basis. According to another decision planning would be done for increased recreational facilities at Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim and co-operation of other organisations would also be obtained in this regard. In this regard a committee was formed to work out details of facilities to be provided in the Bagh.
On the occasion detail briefing was given on the performance of works and services, transport, health, education and other departments and reports submitted regarding ongoing schemes.
