Leader of PML-N, Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that President Asif Ali Zardari has deceived them in the name of reconciliation. Addressing a massive gathering at Jehlum, he said President Zardari has sent Asfandyar Wali and Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman for creating the atmosphere of reconciliation between the government and PML-N but ultimately he spoiled the efforts and announced that PPP will fight against them, he said.
He asked the President Zardari that neither Pakistan was his own property nor the judiciary belonged to him. "Zardari has not only the right on Pakistan but the nation has also its rights," he said. Nawaz also said they would not leave Pakistan on the mercy of President Zardari.
He said there is bloodshed and bombing everywhere in the country while President Zardari has no spare time except dissolving assemblies, which is not a good sign for democracy. Pointing towards the gallop survey, he said, "58 percent people of PPP showed their opposition to Supreme Court decision and also term the Governor rule as unlawful. Your own people oppose you then what would you say about 160 million people of the country," he pointed out.
He said the verdict against Sharif brothers had given by fake judiciary, which would not be respected. About the recent judiciary, he said the people would throw them out of court by force. In his address, he said, he had brought the case of Pakistan before the people and tried his best to make it according to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's vision as well as the dream of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
"Our ancestors had given sacrifices for this noble cause and we cannot forget their aspirations. We should pay their debts today," he said. He said lot of games were played with the country's future in the form of dictatorship, political assassinations, exiling the opponents, sacking judiciary and humiliating the constitution of the country.
He asked the police and law enforcement agencies not to abide illegal orders and those who are against the law. He said they would live for the country and would die for the country. He said, he had not come there for his own interest but for saving the country.
He called on the people to come out and save the country because Pakistan is shouting for help. He said they change the fate of the country for which they would march toward Islamabad. "If you want to see the country in progress and want the supremacy of law then you should join hands with us to succeed the long march," he concluded.
