Director General, Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Shahid Mahmood, has inaugurated a computerised system that has been set up to help maintain record regarding transfer of plots under LDA housing schemes. The new system has been designed for ensuring transparent as well as foolproof business deal of property.
This was disclosed by a LDAs spokesperson her on Thursday. The spokesman said that the system would greatly help reduce chance of fraud and forgery during the transaction of plots, and also enhance level of confidence between buyers and sellers at the time of transfer of plots.
Besides taking the photographs of the proprietor and purchaser through digital camera, thumb impressions of both the persons would also be scanned on the transfer letters through bio-matrix. A deadline of 14 days has been fixed for finalising the procedure for transfer of plot provided that all the relevant documents and dues for this purpose have been deposited.
The new transfer letter would carry details about the area of the plot, its number, block, scheme name and other relevant particulars and its copies would be provided to all the directorates concerned for updating their record.
Plots are already being transferred under the computerised system in LDA Avenue-I, Jubilee Town and Mustafa Town. Transfer of plots will now be carried out through computerised system in Johar Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Faisal Town and Model Town Extension Schemes and very soon the facility will be extended for other schemes as well.
