Real Madrid likely to sacrifice top striker for Mbappe transfer
Real Madrid are willing to sell their top striker Gareth Bale as they try to raise the necessary funds to sign Kylian Mbappe.
We have reported earlier that Champions League winners have agreed a huge £161m fee with Monaco for the 18-year-old French sensation.
But despite raking in around £80m from the sales of Alvaro Morata and Danilo to Chelsea and Manchester City respectively, they still need to offload another player after only managing to get a loan fee for James Rodriguez.
The Goal.com claim it is Bale who will be sacrificed, with the Spanish giants’ hopes of landing Mbappe now dependant on the Welshman.
Bale is happy in Madrid and reluctant to move back to the Premier League, having previously intimated he would struggle to play for a club other than Tottenham.
Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Bale have been mainstays as Real won the Champions League in three of the last four seasons, also winning the Liga title last season.
