The Karachi Port handled 59,819 tonnes of cargo including 49,033 tonnes of import and 10,786 tonnes of export, 1,956 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The freights comprised of 32,223 tonnes of dry cargo including 22,665 tonnes of general cargo; 4,898 tonnes of wheat; 4,660 tonnes of cement and 27,596 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Hyundai Duke, Ts India, Wan Hai-501, MSC Eliana, Geo Milev, Thor Irene and Nememcha sailed out to sea during the reported period. Six vessels viz Miyunhe, Thor Irene, Burgas, Courier, Pacific Arrow and Al-Soor-II are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Burgas, Miyunhe, Courier and Al-Marwah expected to sail on Saturday while another three vessels viz Al-Soor-II, Princess Layan and Thuringia Express are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Hanjin Ningbo, Thuringia Express and Stove Tradition due to arrive on Saturday while five ships namely Gulf Tiger, Quetta, Thomas Mann, Apl Balboa and Oel Peace are due to arrive on Sunday. Seven ships namely Conti Express, Kima, British Harmony, Al-Ihsaa, Apl Yokohama, Northern Harmony and Chol San Bong Chong are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 100,210 tonnes including 81,070 tonnes of import, 19,140 tonnes of export cargo and 3,378 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday. The cargoes comprised of 42,469 tonnes of diesel oil; 4,356 tonnes of palm oil; 8,280 tonnes of cement and 45,105 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three ships CV Maersk Novazzano, MV Jumbo Challenger and MT Al-Salam-II are expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of six ships namely MSC Sierra, Eastern Quest, Ginga Lion, Sea Sky, Alaska-II and Vancoure-II carrying containers, palm oil, furnace oil and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Nine vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Maersk Montana, MV Jaipur, MV Alexi-III, MT Lion Princess, MT Fair Chem Changer, MT Maple Galaxy, MV Jumbo Challenger and MT Al-Salam-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, general cargo, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during the report period.
Two ships CV MSC Sierra and MT Sea Sky are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Fotco Terminal respectively on Saturday. Two vessels MV Ansan and MT Sc Dalian are due to arrive on Saturday. Three vessels viz Al-Mukhtara, Vatani and Beluga Constitution with furnace oil, cement and project cargo are also due to arrive.
