At least 430 lawyers reached Islamabad directly from Multan under the leadership of Mehmood Ashraf Khan President of High Court Bar Multan. Rana Naveed Akhtar General Secretary HCBA told on phone, "we have reached at Islamabad despite all hurdles and intensive police checking and we would join the Mondays long march and sit-in."
He said that we left for Islamabad in our own conveyance because transporters and rent-a car dealers were reluctant to provide the vehicles under the threat of administration. He said that they would stay at secret places because there was very strict checking in the hotels, motels and guesthouses. Rana Naveed Akhtar was optimistic that thousands of lawyers and members of civil society would manage to reach at Islamabad.
