President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Ali Ahmed Kurd and his colleagues were not allowed to leave here for Rawalpindi by a PIA flight on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference here at the airport, Ali Ahmed Kurd said that Regional GM PIA Asghar Wardak informed him and his colleagues in the lounge that he (Wardak) had received warrants from Punjab government not to allow them to board the flight for proceeding to Rawalpindi. Talking to journalists before going to the airports lounge, Kurd condemned the alleged arrests of lawyers in Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar. He assured that the lawyers long march and its subsequent sit-in would be peaceful as it had remained peaceful in the past.
