Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures rose early on Monday on fears of dry weather in the US Plains damaging the emerging winter wheat crop, traders said. At 9:42 am CDT (1442 GMT), CBOT May wheat was up 13-1/2 cents at $5.31-3/4 a bushel.
Kansas City Board of Trade hard red winter wheat for May delivery gained 12-3/4 cents to $5.82-3/4 and Minneapolis Grain Exchange spring wheat for May rose 16-3/4 cents to $6.26.
