Prime Minister announcement to restore deposed judges including Chief Justice Iftikhar was hailed widely in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of Sialkot district on Monday. The workers of various political parties, lawyers and members of civil society expressed their full satisfaction over the historic decision and they congratulated President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani for taking bold decision, which would ensure rule of law in the country.
Joint Secretary Pakistan Muslim League-N and MNA Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Abdul Sattar MNA, Engineer Imran Ashraf MPA, Choudary Muhammad Khaliq MPA, Ms Naseem Akhtar Khawaja MPA, Rana Shamim Ahmad MPA, Mahmooda Sarwar Cheema MPA, Idris Ahmad Bajwa, President PML-N Sialkot district and Ms Deba Mirza MPA while expressing their views termed the decision a triumph of nation and principled stand of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Meanwhile, President District Bar Association Syed Ali Najam Giliani and Nasrullah Khan Rana member Punjab Bar council attributed the decision of restoration of deposed judges to the sentiments of masses. Gilani said peace and supremacy of law has been ensured after 61 years in the country.
